2027 Kia EV6 Trims and Prices: Which One to Buy

The seven 2027 Kia EV6 trims run from $37,900 to $53,000, and the best value in the lineup sits near the bottom. The Light Long Range with rear-wheel drive costs $41,200 and gets the full 319-mile EPA rating, the same range as the Wind and GT-Line rear-drive models that cost thousands more.

Kia announced 2027 EV6 pricing on Oct. 26. The car carries over from 2026 with the same MSRP on every trim and the same $1,545 destination charge, and it’s still built in West Point, Georgia. Kia lowered 2026 EV6 prices a few months ago, Electrek reported, so the 2027 car keeps those lower prices.

2027 Kia EV6 trims, prices and range

Prices below are Kia’s MSRP without destination. Price per mile of range is our math: MSRP divided by EPA range.

GT-LineRWD84 kWh319 mi$48,700$153
GT-LineAWD84 kWh270 mi$53,000$196

Range depends on the battery and the drive, not the trim name. Every rear-drive car with the 84 kWh pack gets 319 miles. All-wheel drive drops the Light and Wind to 295 miles, and the GT-Line AWD falls to 270 on its 20-inch wheels.

Rear-drive long-range models make 225 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The dual-motor cars make 320 horsepower and 446 lb-ft, and Kia rates long-range EV6s to tow up to 2,700 pounds. The standard-range Light makes 167 horsepower, according to Kia’s 2027 EV6 spec sheet.

Which EV6 trim to buy

Light Long Range RWD ($41,200). This is the one most buyers should start with. For $3,300 over the base car you get the 84 kWh battery, 82 more miles of range and the lowest price per mile in the lineup. It keeps the base car’s equipment, which already includes a NACS charging port, heated front seats, a power driver’s seat and Kia’s standard driver-assist features.

Wind RWD ($44,800). Pay the extra $3,600 if you want the nicer cabin and more driver help. Kia adds ventilated power front seats with driver memory, Highway Driving Assist 2 with automatic lane changes, a power liftgate, the onboard power generator for running devices off the battery, a 360-degree camera and the blind-spot camera that shows in the gauge cluster when you signal. Range doesn’t change.

GT-Line RWD ($48,700). The GT-Line adds a sunroof, a head-up display, Meridian audio and sportier styling. It costs $100 less than a Wind AWD, so decide early whether you want those extras or the second motor.

AWD versions. All-wheel drive costs $4,000 on the Light and Wind and $4,300 on the GT-Line. Kia rates the AWD cars at 5.0 seconds from 0 to 60 mph, against 7.3 for rear drive, and pairs them with a heat pump and battery warmer, which help range and charging speed in winter. If you live where it snows, the Light Long Range AWD at $45,200 is the value pick. The GT-Line AWD is the weakest buy here, with the lowest range and the highest price per mile.

Light standard range ($37,900). At 237 miles it works for a household with home charging and another car for road trips. Most shoppers will do better with the long-range car or a cheaper EV3.

Charging

The EV6 runs on an 800-volt system, and Kia quotes a 10 to 80% fast charge in about 20 minutes on a 350 kW charger. On a 150 kW charger, Kia’s spec sheet lists 29 minutes for the long-range battery and 24 for the standard-range Light. We explain why voltage matters in our 800-volt charging explainer.

The 2027 car has a NACS port, so it plugs straight into Tesla Superchargers, and Kia Charge Pass covers more than 47,000 DC fast chargers including over 30,000 Superchargers. CCS stations need a NACS-to-CCS adapter. Kia’s 2027 features list makes the fast-charging and Level 2 adapters standard in California and a dealer-installed option in other states, so ask the dealer to include them. At home, the 10.9 kW onboard charger refills the long-range battery overnight on a 240-volt, 48-amp charger. Kia says vehicle-to-home backup power is expected for the EV6 in late 2026, and it needs extra home equipment.

The battery and EV system are covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles.

EV6 or EV3

The 2027 Kia EV3 undercuts the EV6 by about $8,000 at the base, and for some buyers it’s the smarter car.

The EV3 Wind matches the EV6’s range for $6,210 less and has slightly more cargo space behind the rear seats. The EV6 is the quicker car, and it charges in about two-thirds of the time. If you take regular road trips, those 11 minutes come back at every stop. If you mostly charge at home, the EV3 saves real money.

Deals on the 2026 EV6

Because the 2027 car is a carryover at the same price, a leftover 2026 EV6 is the same car with a discount on it. Kia’s October offers, which run through Nov. 2, include $5,000 in customer cash on the 2026 EV6, according to Electrek and Kelley Blue Book. The 2027 EV3 gets $1,500. Offers vary by state and change each month, so check Kia’s offers page with your ZIP code before you visit a dealer.

Kia’s EV sales have cooled this year while its hybrids set records, as we covered in Hyundai and Kia’s third-quarter results, which helps explain the cash. For most buyers the answer is a Light Long Range RWD, new or a leftover 2026 with the discount.
