When is the Tesla Roadster reveal?

Tesla confirmed Thursday, October 15, 2026 as the new date on its X account, after moving the event from October 1 so it could be held outdoors in good weather. Elon Musk followed up to say the Roadster demo would happen two weeks later than planned.

Tesla announced on X that the Roadster event will stream live “this Thursday at 7:55pm CST.” Here’s when that lands around the world:

  • US Central: 7:55pm CT, Thursday, October 15
  • US Eastern: 8:55pm ET, Thursday, October 15
  • US Pacific: 5:55pm PT, Thursday, October 15
  • UTC: 00:55, Friday, October 16
  • UK: 01:55 BST, Friday, October 16
  • Central Europe: 02:55 CEST, Friday, October 16

For viewers in Europe and beyond, that means an early start on Friday morning, well worth the alarm.

Where to stream it

Tesla’s official livestream page is live with a Roadster countdown, and Tesla confirmed the event will also stream on its X account. On Thursday, watch here:

Tesla has also streamed past product events on its official YouTube channel, so it’s worth keeping that tab handy too. Tune in a few minutes early so you don’t miss the moment the new Roadster appears.

What Tesla has teased so far

Tesla kicked things off on September 12 with a single image and two words: “Go for launch.” The teaser shows a red light bar beneath four bright plumes, a nod to the SpaceX-inspired spirit the Roadster has carried since 2018. Musk shared it with a simple caption: “New Tesla Roadster Unveil.”

The bar is already set high. When Tesla first showed the next Roadster in 2017, it quoted 0 to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds, a top speed above 250 mph and 620 miles of range, with four seats and a removable glass roof. Musk has since said the team “radically increased the design goals,” so Thursday is the night we find out how far Tesla has pushed it.

Tesla also says this event can only be held outdoors, which suggests a real driving demo rather than a car parked under stage lights.
