2027 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback EV Starts at $37,745

Mitsubishi Motors North America set the 2027 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback price today at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $37,745, before a $1,995 destination fee ($2,120 in Hawaii and Alaska). U.S. sales of the battery-electric subcompact SUV start this month. Dealers set the final selling price.

One pack, one option

Mitsubishi kept the configuration simple. Every Eclipse Sportback uses a 75 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery and is rated for up to 282 miles of range on a single charge. The only factory option is the Technology Package, priced at $2,600. Destination is extra either way.

That starting MSRP sits roughly $8,000 above the current Nissan LEAF S+ list price of $29,990. The two share a platform story: Mitsubishi says the Eclipse Sportback is sourced through its Alliance partner Nissan and based on the next-generation LEAF, with Mitsubishi-specific styling and branding.

Charging and warranty

On the road, the Eclipse Sportback supports Level 1 and Level 2 charging with the SAE J1772 connector, and Level 3 DC fast charging with Tesla’s NACS format. Mitsubishi says NACS compatibility includes access to the Supercharger network. Peak DC charging is rated up to 150 kW, which the company says can take the battery from about 10% to 80% in roughly 35 minutes, depending on conditions.

Coverage falls under Mitsubishi Motors Confidence. That includes a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain and battery limited warranty, plus an eight-year/100,000-mile battery capacity warranty, along with the brand’s other standard new-vehicle, corrosion, maintenance, and roadside programs.

First under Momentum 2030

Mitsubishi frames the Eclipse Sportback as the first all-new vehicle to debut under its Momentum 2030 North American plan. After this launch, the company says early 2027 brings an all-new rugged, off-road derivative of the Outlander SUV, with more new or refreshed models planned through fiscal 2030.
