Volkswagen Group dealers are pushing hard on leftover electric inventory this month, and the dollar figures that matter are the ones on the brands’ own offer pages. We checked Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche current-offer materials against a recent roundup that floated even bigger headlines. Some of those headlines hold. A few do not.
Here is what the official programs actually say as of Monday, October 5, 2026.
Volkswagen ID.4: $12,500 on 2025, $6,000 on 2026 (through November 2)
Volkswagen’s current U.S. offers stack (the same data that powers vw.com/en/offers.html) lists a $12,500 Customer Bonus on a new, unused 2025 all-electric ID.4. The legal text says the bonus applies when you purchase or lease through participating dealers from September 1, 2026 to November 2, 2026. It is applied toward the lease or purchase. It is not redeemable for cash. Fleet and Dealership Sale Program vehicles are excluded. Inventory is called out as very limited.
The same stack lists a $6,000 Customer Bonus on a new, unused 2026 ID.4, with the same September 1 to November 2 window, the same cash-vs-lease application rules, and the same “very limited inventory” note.
That 2026 figure is the important correction. A widely shared October roundup put 2026 ID.4 cash at $10,000. The official Volkswagen of America offer language we pulled is $6,000, not $10,000. If you are shopping a 2026, plan around six thousand in factory customer bonus before you start talking dealer discount.
Qualified military members, veterans, and first responders can also stack a separate $500 Military and First Responders Bonus on select new Volkswagen models, including the 2026 ID.4, under a longer program window that runs into early 2027. That one needs the usual eligibility paperwork.
Audi: $20,000 customer bonus on the 2026 S e-tron GT (through November 2)
On Audi’s national offers page, the featured EV cash hit is clear: a $20,000 Customer Bonus when you purchase or lease a select, new 2026 Audi S e-tron GT quattro. The same offers hub marks related national bonuses as ending November 2, 2026.
Electrek’s October roundup framed the big GT cash as a remaining RS e-tron GT clearance. Audi USA’s featured offer copy names the S e-tron GT. The offers page also shows the RS e-tron GT with offers available, but the $20,000 headline we could verify in the featured national list is tied to the S model. If you are shopping an RS, ask the dealer to pull the current incentive print for that exact VIN and trim rather than assuming the S bonus automatically transfers.
Other Audi e-trons on the same national board are not carrying a matching $20,000 cash line in the featured section. Do not expect every e-tron in the showroom to get the same check.
Porsche: Welcome to Porsche up to $4,500 (through October 31)
Porsche Financial Services still advertises Welcome to Porsche on its U.S. special-programs page. Eligible shoppers who currently lease or finance another brand can get a credit equal to up to three payments on that competitive contract, capped at $1,500 per payment and $4,500 total. The credit is applied to the new PFS contract as a manufacturer’s rebate.
Eligible new (and certain former loaner or demo) vehicles for the current window include MY26 and MY27 Cayenne, Cayenne Electric, Taycan, Macan Electric, and Panamera, plus MY26 Macan. The fine print that matters for timing: the PFS contract must be dated between October 1 and October 31, 2026. That is a full-month October window, not a November 3 cutover.
Welcome to Porsche is a conquest-style program with real eligibility gates (how many days remain on the competitive lease or finance contract, who is named on that contract, and proof rules if you pay off early). It is not open “customer cash” sitting on every Macan Electric sticker. Bring your current lease or loan paperwork to a Porsche Center before you count on the full $4,500.
What we could not verify: the $1,100 charging rebate
Several secondary writeups claim most Volkswagen Group EVs also pick up a $1,100 charging rebate this month. We did not find that dollar figure on the official Volkswagen, Audi, or Porsche offer pages we checked. What those brands do advertise for EVs is more often included Electrify America membership or Pass+ pricing by model year, plus separate home-charging products, not a flat $1,100 cash charging credit on the national offers board.
Until an official brand page prints $1,100, treat that number as unverified and leave it out of your deal math.
End dates, in plain terms
| Brand / program | Official end (or contract window) |
|---|---|
| VW ID.4 Customer Bonus (2025 and 2026) | November 2, 2026 |
| Audi featured national bonuses (incl. S e-tron GT $20,000) | November 2, 2026 |
| Porsche Welcome to Porsche | PFS contracts dated October 1 to 31, 2026 |
A “through November 3” shorthand floating around online is close for the VW and Audi cash programs, but the factory legal text we verified uses November 2. Porsche’s Welcome program ends with October, not early November.
How this sits next to other brand offers
Factory cash is only one lever. Ford, for example, is still pushing a different kind of EV sweetener on the Mach-E this quarter (charger or cash under its Power Promise), which we covered in our Ford Q3 2026 EV sales and Mach-E Power Promise note. The VW Group story this week is simpler: large customer bonuses on select leftover EVs, with model-year and model-name details that shoppers should match to the printed offer before they visit the store.
Bottom line for shoppers
- 2025 ID.4: up to $12,500 Customer Bonus through November 2, inventory very limited.
- 2026 ID.4: $6,000 Customer Bonus through November 2 (not $10,000).
- 2026 Audi S e-tron GT: $20,000 Customer Bonus on Audi USA’s current offers page; confirm RS terms separately at the dealer.
- Porsche Macan Electric (and other listed models): Welcome to Porsche up to $4,500 if you qualify, with PFS contracts dated in October 2026.
- $1,100 VW Group charging rebate: not verified on official offer pages.
Offers vary by ZIP, credit, inventory, and dealer participation. Pull the current terms on Volkswagen offers, Audi offers, and Porsche Financial Services special programs (or have the dealer print them) before you sign.
